The weather is dropping again this week, so you better get inside. If you have any great recommendations for me to try, please do send an email to [email protected]

Restaurant of the week

This one is an easy one because last weekend we found what could be described as one of the best bottomless brunch venues in Manhattan.

Pardon my French is in the East Village/Alphabet City area. It’s bottomless, the service is FANTASTIC, the food was delicious and came out quickly, and the ambiance (while quite loud) is very cool for a Sunday afternoon.

Bar of the week

This week’s bar is something completely different but I think you’ll like it. It’s your quintessential NYC dive bar, with $1-2 Pabst, and plastic covering the sofas.

Welcome to the Johnson’s in LES is quite simply the best.

Thing-to-do of the week

With it being so rainy and snowy outside, it’s always good to recommend some more things to do that are sheltered. This week I’m recommending something that people keep telling me I should do. Full disclosure I have not been, but I hear great things for a day out doing something a bit different.

The Butterfly Conservatory at the Museum of Natural History is incredibly popular and only open until the end of May!

Local tip of the week

This week’s recommendation comes from Karel H, a fantastic local human being!

Did you know:

Wednesday, January 1, 1840: First recorded ten-pin bowling match played at Knickerbocker Alleys, NYC

Bowling can be expensive in NY but it doesn’t have to be.

Gutter Bar just opened in Long Island City for great value bowling (and also have another location in Williamsburg)!
