  1. So excited to see this article Josh and then bitterly disappointed it was only about the New York Kookaburras Cricket Club. I’m an Aussie (from Melbourne) married to an American that has a huge passion for cricket and loves playing with my family when we go back home. He was thrilled to find out about the Kookaburras last year but was turned away because he’s not Australian. Their feedback “We’ll accept him if he has an Australian passport!” There was another Aussie in the same boat, with a South African husband interested but turned away. Such a shame, cricket is a great game and us Aussie’s here in NYC should be happy to share it to those enthusiastic enough to join, even if they aren’t Australian citizens. He ended up finding a group out in Brooklyn – all inclusive. Come one, come all. If anyone else has a non-Aussie looking to enjoy playing cricket check out Wanderers New York Cricket Club.
