New York – Australian Chamber Orchestra at 92NY

Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra are returning to the US for a seven-concert tour next month, presenting the kind of innovative work that has become their hallmark. The performance in New York takes place on Sunday 20 October 2024 at 2pm at 92NY.

ANTONIO VIVALDI THE FOUR SEASONS INTERSPERSED WITH MUSIC BY JOSEPH TAWADROS, AND BAROQUE WORKS FROM ITALY AND THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE.

Accompanying the ACO onstage are Egyptian-Australian oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros and his brother, riq’ master James Tawadros, for an exciting concert that celebrates the intertwining of musical worlds. Vivaldi’s vivid The Four Seasons will be enhanced and interspersed with music from the Ottoman Empire along with Joseph’s own music for oud, percussion and strings. The result is a magnificent and joyous display that evokes the thrilling sounds and spectacle of Vivaldi’s Venice.
