I realized that right now, the more we can connect with each other, the happier and better we can be. Not only that but with stronger communities, we can be louder, we can be more active, and we can be more effective. So, to help that, I’ve built the America Josh Buddy System.

What is the America Josh Buddy System?

Remember the buddy system from primary school?

The buddy system is a procedure in which two individuals, the “buddies”, operate together as a single unit so that they are able to monitor and help each other.

It worked so effectively then, so why aren’t we using it more now to look after each other, to check-in on each other, and to ensure that we all have a person there for us when we need it.

Right now it’s very possible that you feel isolated, disconnected, and don’t always have someone to bounce things off, so I want to help you with that.

This is someone new, someone outside of your network, and hopefully someone you can become buddies with!

How does it work?

The idea is that I’ll pair you up with someone who matches up with you to chat, text, video, or email with. It’s up to you to share as much or as little about yourself when you sign up. Maybe you just want to start on email, that’s fine! Or maybe you want to share all your social media? That’s fine too!

I’ll set up ideas for you to talk about, or things to do together (virtually, at the moment) and it’s up to you how often you’d like to connect with each other.

There’s no pressure to commit to more than you want. Maybe you want someone to speak to weekly, or maybe you just want to check-in when you absolutely need it, it’s up to you!

I’ll check in with you regularly to make sure you’re happy with your buddy, and that everything is going ok and I’ll connect up buddy groups over time.
