Chicago (MI) – Big Aussie Cheer Squad Chicago Marathon 2026

More than six hundred Australians are running the Chicago Marathon, and we’re going to be the loudest thing on the course when they come past. Join the Big Aussie Cheer Squad outside The Rabbit Hole and Cal’s Corner on Wells Street, at around mile 11.8.
We cheer on the Aussies who live in Chicago, the Aussies who fly in from Australia, and bring together everyone for a great morning of cheering. We’ll track all the Australians who are running so you know who to cheer for!
Big Aussie Cheer Squad
Coffee’s on from 7am, the DJ starts at 10am, and once the last runner is through we head next door for the post-race celebration from 2pm. Bring a sign with your best Aussie slogan, wear green and gold if you’ve got it, and bring the kids. No need to run, be fit, or know a soul.

Post-Race Celebration
Straight on from the cheer corner. Everyone is welcome whether you ran or not — and the people who did will want somewhere to sit down.

Pre-Race Aussie Meetup
Meet the runners before the big day, or just meet some Aussies. Drop in any time — buy one, get one free on beer, wine and coffee. Hosted by the Australian New Zealand American Community Chicago.
