I got a Casper mattress and thought I’d tell you all about it (and save you $75)

Moving apartments (as you can see in my series about moving) can be a pain, and picking a mattress was one of the tasks that took a fair bit of research (certainly more than I expected).

You've no doubt seen some of the ads around the place for Purple, Casper, Leesa, Tuft & Needle, Tulo, Lull, Saatva, Layla, and Helix. There are SO many mattress-in-a-box companies now and they all campaign against each other as if considering another brand is the worst thing since un-sliced bread. So which one should you buy?

Well, after researching all the differences, I ended up with a Casper (the regular version, not the Wave – it gets expensive fast). Why? Because, I was most familiar with the brand (thanks, advertising), and it seemed to fit my style of sleeping the best while staying cool.

Thing to know: It's way heavier than you'd think. Try lifting a regular mattress, that's what it's like, so be sure to have it delivered somewhere you actually want it. When you open the box, you pull out a shrink-wrapped spiral and when you cut open that plastic, you do get to watch some magic as it sucks in liters of air and turns into a full-sized bed!

So the result? So far, so good!

The mattress is soft, but not nearly as squish-y as I had worried about, and my girlfriend and I have slept soundly next to each other without disturbing one another. I sleep hot and haven't had an issue so far, and have woken up feeling fresh and revived!

I'll update in the coming weeks, but it looks like I've made the correct decision!

You get $75 off, I get $50. Everyone's a winner! Hell, I'll even buy you a drink with some of my $50 if you'd like?

As always, I didn't get paid to write this and the only money I might make from it is if you click the link above and get yourself a Casper using my referral link.
