A few months ago I had a day to explore a part of Brooklyn that I hadn't spent too much time, and that's what led me to the New York Distilling Co., a delicious, friendly, fun, and informative…. drinking spot.
There are complimentary tours three times on Saturdays and three times on Sundays (2:30, 3:30, and 5:00pm) where they'll take you through the process of how they weave their magic, and you even get the opportunity to taste each of the gins, ryes, and whiskeys, as you work through!
Not to mention, attached to the distillery is a full-service bar (“the Shanty”)! From their website:
More comfortable than most, our Shanty is a full-service bar. It just happens to be connected to our distillery.
Offering a full complement of cocktails, we not only feature our distilled spirits but our favorites from around the world.
Prefer a cold beer? We’re happy to oblige with a distinctive selection of craft brews.
Honestly, the quality of the drinks are incredible, and I haven't even mentioned the best bit. At the end of the tour you get told the price: 3 bottles for $75.
Yep.
I mean, what a bargain for high quality and delicious gin, rye, or whiskey… all brewed here in Brooklyn!
Get your butt down there.
