Midterms & Australians: A Viewing Party
An America Josh event
Join us in watching the US Midterm Election results rolling in with some other Australians, in a familiar space: A pub. John Biggins is gathering a group of Australians together this Tuesday evening, while the midterm election results start to take shape. Particularly those who call the US home, and/or have been here 2+ years. (more on that below!). We’ll have TV results on the screens in the bar, and our own area and bar person set aside for this event, so space to relax, chat and grab a drink or two.
As part of the evening, I’m hoping to capture a few shots for a documentary about Aussies living longer-term in the USA, and what they think about their general future here with politics turning as they are. We aim to capture people’s reactions to the election updates , and maybe a word or two on their feelings on life issues that are being shaped by the current political tides.
Some of you may be up for that, some of you might just want to chat with others – about , or not about these topics!
In any case, you’ll only be filmed if we have your specific permission.
About me: I’m an Australian who’s been living here for 10 years, working in Film and TV production and a director and cinematographer ( www.johnbigigns.tv ). I honed my craft for many years at ABC TV in Sydney. I’m intrigued and concerned as to what the future holds as a US resident, and very curious to know how you feel!
