New York – Big Aussie Cheer Squad: NYC Marathon 2025

Calling all Aussies in NYC! Are you ready to show your green and gold and support your fellow countrymen as they tackle the iconic TCS New York City Marathon? Join the official Australian Cheer Squad and be part of an electrifying atmosphere as you cheer on Aussie runners from the sidelines!

This year we have joined forces with the team at Hole In The Wall, Williamsburg where we'll be creating a vibrant cheer zone for our marathon legends. This strategic location is after the 11 mile mark (approx. 11.2mi or 18.1km), and has great access to sensational food, coffee, cocktails, and more. It's also where the runners will need your encouragement to dig deep and get up and through Queens, The Bronx, and Manhattan!

The 2025 NYC Marathon Big Aussie Cheer Squad is proudly brought to you by America Josh and Hole in the Wall — and is proudly supported by Odin Mortgage & Tax, and the Australian Consulate-General New York.

What you'll find at the Big Aussie Cheer Squad, Hole In The Wall

Track-side – a satellite bar serving food and cocktail specials all race long (sausage rolls and breakkie rolls, coffees and cocktails). In the restaurant, you'll find the full Brunch service!

Entertainment – DJ Tommy Nichols will be banging out the tunes from 9am.

Runner tracking – a live tracking system so you can cheer extra loud when Aussie runners are passing.

What to bring

In short: You can come without anything! But we'd love you to bring your some Aussie Pride by decking yourself out in green and gold! Wear your favorite Aussie sports gear, bring flags, banners, and any other paraphernalia that screams ‘Straya!

We're excited to have a whole section that's prepared to cheer, chant, and make some noise! Let's give the runners the boost they need to conquer those final miles. The best thing about the marathon is that runners wear their names on their shirts, so you can call them out by name and really help them dig deep.

For Aussie runners of the NYC Marathon 2025

Keep an eye out for the BIG Aussie flags and the Green and Gold “Run Aussie Run” flags just after mile 11 on the left side (approx 11.2mi or 18.1km). We'll be cheering your names and giving you that extra push to reach the finish line. Be sure to register your details on the official runners list so we are tracking you!
