Ranging from delicious to outrageous, these are the best things to do in New York City this week (February 21, 2018).
Restaurant of the week
If you like food from UNDER THE SEA (insert Sebastian voice) then this one is going to be right up your alley.
Seamore's is a delicious seafood restaurant with three locations (Midtown, Nolita and Chelsea) and both of which are delightfully wonderful. Every day the menu changes based on what is freshly caught, and the combinations they create are great (not to mention the guacamole, just make sure you don't go there with friends who eat it all before you see it… Aimée).
Bar of the week
With Spring knocking on our windows, it's time to start thinking about some places with a delightful view and this one is especially good. If you've got friends visiting, tell them to save their money going up the top of 30 Rock, and go here instead (not just for the heavy-handed-G&T-pours).
The Wythe Hotel‘s rooftop is a wonderful way to watch the sunset over Manhattan and see the lights flicker on. Here's me and some friends there last year!
Thing-to-do of the week
Walk a dog! I wrote a post about this last week, I know, but we did it this last long weekend and we had so much fun that I have to recommend it one more time.
You can arrive at Sean Casey Animal Rescue without having done anything before, between 11am and 6pm and walk a dog. They will ask if you have any preferences (mostly regarding the size of the dog) but beyond that, you're away!
Local tip of the week
Amelia, friend of America Josh, resident of Williamsburg, and all-around great person's tip of the week this week is:
I feel like people already know to stock up on wine at Trader Joe’s wine shop. But if they don’t, they should!
They do make their own wine (not recommended) but they also have all kinds of brands you’d see at any other shop but at magical prices
We do love wine. Thanks, Amelia!
Hahahaha I was hungry! And you weren’t fast enough. #soznotsoz
