Restaurant of the week
I realize that this might not technically count as a “restaurant” but I think it's important that you know.
Tompkins Square Bagels are still my favorite bagels in New York City. The lines can be long, but the wait is always worth it.
When you arrive, you walk to the back of the store and line up to your left (sometimes the line will loop down the back and then all the way back up the front). In the line, someone will come and take your order, give you a receipt, and then you'll get to the counter to pay for what you ordered. Your name will then be read out so you can take your food.
I can recommend the lox and scallion cream cheese on a toasted (unless they're hot and fresh) everything bagel. Yes. A thousand times, yes.
Bar of the week
You've no doubt had the need for a nice bar in the Midtown area that you can meet with a client, meet with some friends after work, or simply have a drink with someone you like; but that isn't filled with tourist prices!
I've come to your rescue!
Parker & Quinn can be a very busy place but it's fantastically priced and has a great atmosphere.
Thing-to-do of the week
The Museum of Moving Image is really cool. A great and interactive museum all about TV and movies!
