Joshies Nominations 2022 are now open

With 2022 coming to an end, it's time for nominations in this year's Best of the Year awards, the Joshies. The purpose of the Joshies is to reward the businesses both in the US and outside the US who have helped the community, have aided with the transitional process of moving, or just been welcome support in your time living in America.

It could be a company that helped you find your feet and get established when you first arrived, it could be your favorite bar or restaurant that made a difference in your life, it could be a delivery service for your favorite snacks, or it could be a company that helps you stay in touch with loved ones, anything at all!

How the Joshies awards work

You make your nominations using the form below, and then from your submissions, I'll pick five organizations from each of the two categories to go forward and receive votes from the community.

We'll pick the finalists based on what you input into your nomination, and may get back in touch with you to clarify any extras.

So what are the two categories?

Nominations for a business that made life better after moving

This category is for the businesses that have continued to make your life better since you moved. They could include businesses from the above categories, but could also include:

  • Venues, bars, and restaurants
  • Travel and holiday operators
  • Community groups
  • Events and social networks
  • Tax and financial assistants
  • Business services
  • Personal health and wellness companies
  • Shipping and postal companies
  • Snack, food, and beverage companies
  • Those companies that remind you of home

Some thoughts for your nominations

I don't want these annual awards to reward only the big businesses, instead, I want nominations for businesses that have made even a small but mighty impact on your life.

The floor is yours!
