How and where to pet a puppy in New York City

After my email last week asking for how I could pet a puppy, a very kind couple of friends Edward and Kathryn reached out with this fantastic piece of advice.

“Kathryn and I volunteered at Sean Casey Animal Rescue in Brooklyn on Saturday. You can just turn up there and walk a dog, with no minimum or ongoing commitment if you are missing your canine friends in Aus!”

From their website:

Drop in any day from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm to walk a dog.  We’ll ask you to complete our easy Volunteer Dog Walker Application before you head out.

So if you want to pet a puppy and do something good at the same time, what are you waiting for!?

  1. I AM SO HAPPY TO READ THIS I ACTUALLY GOT EMOTIONAL!! LOLS… I will definitely be doing this thank you for sharing! I have been pet-less for 7 years thanks to a demanding job with travel (can’t be a responsible parent) and this has made my day and my daunting move all that easier for my heart! x
