Every time I plan to get a ride-share or a cab, I spend much too long switching back and forth between the apps until I become completely frustrated and just pick one at random. I’m sure that the majority of the time I’m not making the best decision but until now I haven’t had an alternative. This week I discovered an app that will do all the comparisons for you in real-time.

I find myself spending a lot of time flicking between the major ride-sharing apps to find the best price and shortest wait time every time I think about getting a car. There are so many options (with more appearing every day) that I don’t feel like I’m making the informed decision; until now.

How does this app compare ride-share options?

Obi is an app that asks for your current location and your destination and will list the wait times and the estimated costs for all of the major ride-sharing and ride-hailing apps.

It pulls in data from these apps and allows you a quick summary of what’s happening right now and for a lot of them, allows you to book from inside the app.

The app saves things like your home and work like any other app, and then quickly links you through to the ride-sharing app that you select. It also incorporates your personal account of the major ride-sharing apps so it actually offers you the best rates that you would have inside their app as well.

Which ride-sharing options are available to compare?
