My fourth year in New York City

Well, it started with promise and a whole lot of life,
And ended with COVID, panic, and strife.

But my fourth year here had so many good bits,
So here they all are, all of the best hits.

I hosted a quiz in front of hundreds of players,
Laughter and jokes, and cocktails with layers.

We learned to stay home, with movies and books,
And after all this, we're basically cooks!

Puzzles became the flair of the hour,
Quickly replaced by Tiger King power.

Webcams became 2020s real winner,
But good lord I miss a fancy steak dinner.

With help from you all, we planted a seed,
We built a community and helped those in need.

Engaged in October, to my soon to be wife,
So what more can I say? I've a wonderful life.

We then got a puppy, his name is Roo,
I love him to bits but he belongs in a zoo.

For me at least, this year could have been worse,
We're lucky to say that we avoided the curse.

But to those of you, who are all out of luck,
We'll be here to help you, through all of the muck.
